Tattoo Art, not the only source of inspiration.

I often mention how my work is inspired by classic tattoo art and that remains true. Beyond my love of flash art I can also trace inspiration for my work back to my childhood. My Mum’s beautiful rose gold curb link bracelet with heart padlock clasp. I must have said how much I loved it many, many times as Mum gifted it to me ….as one of four sisters it could have gone three other ways! I love the gorgeous warm colour of the rose gold and the pleasing form of the curb link chain. The click of the clasp into its padlock.

Beyond how this bracelet has informed my own work - (the curb link chains, heart motifs speak for themselves) I’m inspired by the notion of jewellery being handed down the generations, from a mother to a daughter. So, if you’re buying a piece of jewellery, I hope my work inspires you -and just imagine how many generations may come to wear it.
