How to style a women’s bolo tie
The bolo tie, with its roots in the mid century American West, has transcended its traditional boundaries.
My take on women’s bolo ties are quite dainty affairs compared to many so, unlike a traditional bolo tie, I don’t wear mine under the collar of a shirt - preferring an open neckline to wear the bolo tie almost like a choker so the sapphire is positioned to attract attention.
Take care to keep the bolo tips even on both sides as you slide the sapphire set Bolo Flame or Flower up the cord. The tips , called aiguillettes finish the leather cord - these now dangle below the cleavage.
You can also wear the bolo lower down, with evening wear perhaps so the Flame or Flower sits more like a pendant.
If you do prefer to wear a collar - choose a plain shirt with a small collar and make a feature of your bolo, - works well with a polo neck too. Heck, the possibilities are endless!
All that remains is to choose Flaming Heart or Dainty Flower, Sapphire or Ruby? Which will you choose?
